My Picks Of The Week/ ‘EOA’ Link-Up #37

Jesse Wilcox Smith~ On His Knee

Welcome to the 37th edition of our weekly homemaking link-up party: ‘Encourage One Another’! Thank-you for sharing your homemaking wisdom, lovely tutorials, and introducing yourselves – I enjoy meeting each one of you and reading your post as I can.

I was so thankful and blessed reading over the link-ups last week! Yay for the growing community here :)

Here are the Picks Of the Week (in no particular order):

For all those I feature here, I will send a link to your post out on Facebook for even more exposure.:)

Why waste your time on ‘not bad’ books when you can go straight to the ‘really great’ ones? Rhonda {Walking with Sarah} gives us her Worldview Series: Part 4 is Using History and Good Literature in Biblical Worldview Training. Her son writes for WORLD magazine, so she is an authority :)

worldview books, great literature, classic books, great old books, beautiful books

Julianne, {New Every Morning} has made the best decision: I Won’t Be A Famous Blogger. She is speaking my very heart.

Wow!!! Janine over at {True Aim Early Education} asks:

A mom who cried wolf, wolf howling at moon

We need more Fathers for the fatherless. Jessica writes at {every season}.

adoption, father of the fatherless, open adoption,

Are you going on summer vacation? If so, this is a must read. Jill {Jill’s Home Remedies} gives her Essential Medicines for Travel. I concur; they are the BEST!

How have you grown your roots deeper at home this week? What do you have to share with another Proverbs 31 woman today? This could include topics such as: character-building or homemaking skills, cleaning, cooking, gardening, an alternative medicine tip, devotions, a special photo, or any other topic that would be of encouragement to someone. Link up as many posts as you like.

  1. ~Please enter the direct link of your post into the Linky Tool below.
  2. ~ Linking back to Deep Roots At Home is very appreciated but is not necessary.
  3. ~ I am adding the (“like”) feature so you can help me…vote for your favorites.
  4. ~I hope you enjoy the great reading and fellowship!
  5. ~Check back next week to discover who’s been featured and to link-up again!

I’ve been thinking lately that as this link-up is centered around encouragment, that it would be so wonderful if the recipes that are linked-up are healthy. Something that is not only delicious but also nutrious to the body, an encouragement to living a healthier life. So, starting next week, I’m requesting that you be mindful of the recipes that you link up. Are these recipes going to make stronger minds and bodies? Examples of welcomed ingredients would include: honey instead of white sugar; healthy oils such as coconut and olive oils; broth-based recipes; additive-free ingredients. Gluten-free, raw food combinations, and soaked are all very much desired.

  1. Thanks, Jacque, for featuring my posts–don’t know that I’m an expert though–just a mama trying to raise her children Christian in a pagan world.
